Monitor CE's editorial department offers a range of text services to assist clients at various stages in the publication process.

Editing involves making adjustments to a text's organizational structure and internal logic with the goal of maximizing its expressive impact for a given audience and purpose. Our editors have backgrounds in journalism and/or language sciences and are particularly skilled at producing texts which are clear, credible and informative.

Copyediting involves removing errors in spelling, grammar and punctuation, as well as implementing stylistic improvements to enhance flow and readability. We can prepare texts according to style guides for UK (Guardian and OUP) or US (AP) English, as well as for standard Czech and German.

Proofreading involves carefully reading through a pre-print proof copy of a text, usually prepared by a print studio for this purpose. Proofreading is an essential step in the publication process as significant errors can arise during page layout and typesetting.
