Monitor CE company history
Monitor CE grew out of the Prague Daily Monitor, an English-language electronic news and business daily for the Czech Republic. Created by publisher Bryn Perkins and editor Theodore Schwinke, the Prague Daily Monitor began publication in 2003.
Upon the Czech Republic's accession to the European Union in 2004, Monitor CE (formerly Peg Leg s.r.o.) began providing media monitoring to the Representation of the European Commission in the Czech Republic, and in 2005 it won a five-year tender to continue providing these services.
Since 2005, Monitor CE has expanded its operations to offer a broader range of media services tailored to business and development in Central Europe, including high-end news and business translations, web localization, editing, copy writing and the production of customized newsletters. Monitor CE's clients include major corporations, public institutions and SMEs in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
